Updated Illuminate Animatic

Hey!
So this is the updated version of my Illuminate animatic. The timing has changed slightly and I put in all the completed backgrounds. Sound has also changed.

For the music I found some really awesome stuff on newgrounds.com! The main song is called "Forest of the night" by MountainDewFreak and the other song is "Vibraphone of Strings" by Darrien Begay (spcialist). Voice acting for the girl is by my friend KK.

Backgrounds

Yay, Backgrounds! These are designs for the forest in my senior project! As you can see the forest becomes more creepy as the girl goes deeper within.
I'm happy that I found a way to make it look painterly. I started out working with flat colors in Photoshop but it just wasn't working for me. So i took it into Corel and was able to add to it using mostly just blenders. Corel is a pretty awesome program!
So anyway, now that I got the designs approved my next step is to create the backgrounds for the final product, which I will not be posting. But please look forward to seeing them in the final animation :-)

Jaguar Mcguire!

So I'm all super excited cause I just completed my first bit of animation for the production of Jaguar Mcguire. JM is a 2d and 3d animation that this quarter we are completing for a group project class. It's been in production for a while and we are working on getting it done! It's a really exciting project to be a part of. I was doing tones and shadows as well as ink and paint before, so to do animation I feel like I've been promoted, lol. Rac Maquette

I meant to post these earlier, but anyway this is the the character from my Coon of the Night animation I posted. He is the very first maquette I ever made! I had a lot of fun making it. Reminded me of the ceramics class i had in highschool. The news paper, cardboard and string are my found objects.



My dog Rex decided to get in my face while I was taking these pic, lol. "Watch out Rex, there's a raccoon behind you!!! AHHHHH!"


This is the turnaround and sketch I used when building the maquette for my character Rac.
Also another assignment was to create an environment for our character. Rac lives in an alleyway behind the house of his enemy the evil ferret Nibbles :-) The little piece of paper by the door is to show scale of Rac to the environment.

Senior Project. "Illuminate"

This is the animatic for my senior film, "Illuminate". I hope you enjoyed it and will follow me as I work toward the final film. I'm in my senior one class now working on the this project to get as much done as needed so that next quarter it's all about animating. I just completed updated model sheets of my characters and I will post them up soon.

Coon of the Night

This is my Digicel 2 final project. I created the character in my Character Design class. The voice of the bad guy was done by my friend Stefan L. He and my boyfriend helped me out in the brainstorming process. He also came up with names for my characters. The raccoon is named Rac (Coon of the Night), and the evil ferret is named Nibbles, lol.
